Position: Sports Manager
Classification: Full-Time Salaried, including benefits
Reports To: Director
Summary of position: This position develops, promotes, and implements a variety of recreation sports programs for all ages and abilities. The Sports Manager will be responsible for screening, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff for concessions, grounds, and field preparation and events.
Duties:
· Provide quality year-round sports programs and by planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating activities related to recreation, education, social and cultural programming for a diverse community and wide range of ages.
· Supervise and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned sports programs and ACRC.
· Hire, supervise, train, schedule, support, evaluate, discipline, and instruct staff and volunteers.
· Maintain inventory, and staff concession areas for ACRC events.
· Establish and maintain cooperative professional working relationships with staff, coworkers, participants, USD 470, volunteers, and the public.
· Maintain superb communication and working relations with sport associations and their respective boards.
· Continually evaluate programs to ensure ACRC is providing the most desired programs.
· Utilize recreation management software for activities, and communication.
· Exercise independent judgement in the application of sports programing.
· Assists in programing budget and compliance within budget.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications:
· Must be 18 years of age or older.
· Maintain excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
· Must support ACRC mission, goals and objectives and meet all ACRC safety requirements.
· Must be self-driven, possess a positive attitude and be in good physical condition.
· Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications.
· Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to off-site facilities.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
Work Environment:
· Indoor and outdoor exposure to the seasonal weather.
· Required to wear protective equipment for exposure control.
· Required to lift upwards of 50lbs
· Includes operation of cleaning equipment, power equipment, hand tools, utility vehicle and personal vehicle.
