Sports Coordinator
As the Sports Coordinator in the Parks, Recreation & Arts Department, you will serve as a main point of contact for the department’s sports program that ranges from soccer to T-ball to tennis to pickleball. You will manage a diverse group of sports leagues with 1,700 participants from the point of registration, roster creation, scheduling of practices and games to game day operations. You will continue to grow the sports program with finding new and engaging ways to enhance the sports that are offered.

- Experience in league management, policy creation and enforcement and coordinating officials.
Your work responsibilities may include:
- Developing, implementing, overseeing and evaluating youth and intergenerational recreation sports programs offered by the City.
- Preparing, monitoring, and evaluating the budget for the sports programs and events.
- Coordinating maintenance and preparation of the City’s sports fields.
- Promoting the City’s rental space options for public use.
- Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating assigned recreational staff.
- Assisting the department in the development, implementation, and evaluation of department programs, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Keeping abreast of changes to state and national event management standards, products, and techniques through publications, seminars/workshops, conferences, and professional associations.
Minimum Requirements: Must have four (4) years of experience in coordinating a sports program or league management. Some experience in coordinating sports officials, preferred. Equivalent experience includes an Associate’s Degree with two (2) years of experience in coordinating a sports program or league management. Must have a minimum of one (1) year of lead or supervisor experience.

Starting Rate of Pay: $56,337.64 - $69,013.60 / annually, DOQ
